A A A

up the corner
round the bend
swimming through what
used to be my head
you say it’s unfair
you say you’re in pain
but i know that you’re lying
with no sense of shame
you are not getting hurt
you just got a scratch
i have the whole fire
burning me up from the match
you don’t realize how lucky
you are to be you
you don’t know what i’d give
to take your place, what i’d do.
i’ve run miles on this course
you, only a lap
i’ve searched every crevice
as you get mad at a map
hypocrite, let stop
i know you’re playing pretend
you know nothing, i want
to kill you my friend.
