It's your call.

I'll raise you five chips, you smile.

More for me, I chime.

The flop, turn, and river cards come

And I flaunt a winning hand.

The cards slide back in the deck as if

Nothing ever happened

And I shuffle, deal,

Burn and turn.

Your bet.

All in.

Call.

You were bluffing and I was bluffing

So in the end it's all about luck.

I bet a shirt and you, your pants

And we both hope to lose.

Only a pair of tens,

Guess I lost.

Off goes

Clothes.

Queen, King, the entire royal court gasp

At the two of us playing poker tonight.

I'm the dealer, you're the player,

But we're only as lucky as

The cards in our hand.

It seems that luck

Has run out

for the two

of us.

Quite regrettably we seem to have both bet

Our undergarments and now we're

Naked and vulnerable and

Sitting in a dark room,

Thinking this game

Has just begun.

Chips spill.

Cards fall.

Us, too.
