It's a crazy world we live in
It's one where a girl in a red shirt
Will have to pack a suitcase in a hurry
And the floor with have to catch a few stray tears
A few epileptic dreams
And an ounce of self-control
It's rolling in the grass by the river
Then sitting in a sad metal room
It's holding hands in the dark
In order to pray for your friends
It's a cycle of drugs and rehab
Because a 3am phone call isn't supportive enough
I'm sorry for crushing you
My instincts were right
We were better off without each other
It's a good thing too
Because four's a lucky number today
Please don't try to rationalize all this
We were never meant to be
Too late and too much
To be anything other than
What we are today
