“Come on, is that any way to great your girlfriend into the house?” She said, walking in and dumping her bag on the couch with a thud.
“I wasn’t aware that you still were my girlfriend.” said to her, trying to put venom into my voice.
“Don’t be silly, Alex, of course I am.” She smiled at me, that smile that always sent a pang through my heart, and did then as well.
“But… But, Sophie. You left.” I stuttered out. She slowly turned to look at me.
“Well I’m back now, aren’t I?” she smiled again, and again I tried to ignore the pang.
“How about I make some coffee?” she cut me off, and I looked down at my feet.
“I don’t like coffee.” I muttered.
“You’re still being like that, Alex? Come on, dude, grow up. The rest of the world is waiting for you. They have coffee and sex and…”
“Yes, that’s it!”
“Well I’ve had my fair share of homosexuality and… sex.” I said the last word with a blush.
I proceeded to stare down at my feet some more, she laughs.
“You don’t need to tell me that. So, how have your relationships been since I left?”
“…None to speak of…” I told my feet.
“Well, that’s about to change.” And she pushed me onto the couch.
