I cried and began ripping my vacant pages of out of their perfect binding. I hated myself for crying, so I cried harder. I tore out page after page, and smashed them to bits. They had shape at last, I laughed, tears streaming from my eyes. My hair clung limp to my face, and I gasped for air. At least my empty words would be powerful soon.

I laughed again as the familiar smell of smoke and passion wafted through the air. Then I walked calmly out the door of my self-detained prison, and locked it tight behind me. Soon the decrepit building would be nothing but fire and ash, exposed for the hell that it truly was. I smiled, and watched the people running away. A man was asking me questions now.

“No officer, I didn’t see a thing.”
