A Layer Of White

24 sleeps to go I said loudly to my mum,

I can't wait until those sleeps gets right down to 1.

And on that night flakes of snow fell down from the sky,

I was oblivious, fast a sleep, tucked up in bed I lie.

I woke up in the morning, tired and moody, I was not a pretty sight

I looked out of my window and I was supprised to see a dazzling layer of white

How did it get there I asked my mum, did it creep down in the night?

She just chuckled and smiled at me told me to go out and play

and I will remember that for the rest of my life.

It was a very magical day.
