Cold and alone,
I cry myself to sleep,
And in my sleep I dream,
Dreams of you,

Fantasies that you miss me too,
Fiction that you love me too,
Imaginings that I mean everything to you,
Ideas that I could be apart of you,

But hot and crowded,
I wake to tear stained cheeks,
And in my life I think,
Thoughts of you,

Plans of our house,
Pictures of our future,
Sounds of our music,
Surroundings of our life,

And in my dreams,
And in my thoughts,
I see you’re pain, but not my own,
Because only in my mind,
Could things ever be this perfect,
Perfectly incorrect.
