Take these chains

By: Keisha Brown

Why do you whip me as such? The stinging sensation filled my bones as I fell to my aching knees. My soul plunges out to this figure that stands before me. I beg for light, I beg for strength. Silence fills my lips as I feel my body being drug across the wretched floor beneath my broken feet. I feel nothing, I hear nothing but silence and heartache. Please unleash the deadly chains that urne to take my sorrow life. I am no different from you, I am no different from he! My skin is as smooth as yours, my lips are as tender as yours; My rich dark skin is as abudant as yours. See me, Hear me, Pray with me my brother and you shall see we are the same. Please dont fear me, as I am not your enemy but I am your friend, your foe, your company. Break away these chains and see before yourself, and learn from your mistakes. Judging me by my apparence is not what we had set in stone. Take my skills and my assets and pray with me. Treat me as an equal and we all shall be free! Please take these chains away from me, Please my brother, Take these chains.
