This is about my struggles with anxiety and what it feels like to try and fall asleep sometimes.

I'm calloused inside from an unforgiving pain
A host that latches on and never gives way
I bleed and bleed and bandage every wound
No one will know, nobody will ever see
But the bandage wears thin, the blood is seaping through
Till I'm drenched in my fears, so real and true
The callous has shed and the pain makes its play
However, there is no cheating in this game
The clock betrays me with every tick on it's hand
The time is warped with an infinate end
I have nothing left but the thoughts in my head
Corrupt and vile with no mercy to fill in
When the sun soon rises a new callous will form
I'm exhausted from pain, my insides are torn
I've forgiven the clock, for it offers a deal
This callous will last, but expires indeed
I will stay bandaged so no one will ever know
Only to the day it finally takes its toll
Until then this host will penetrate my skin
Ripping my soul till my body gives in
