No more wishing. No more wondering. No more longing or hoping. She waits for the day that her soulmate shall return to her; Safe and sound.

Waiting
By Kayla Christiansen

Watching his plane fly away,

On that cool day in May.

Wishing I was still in his arms,

Wondering why I ignored the warning alarms.

Hoping that being at war doesn't change him much.

Longing for the day that I can once again feel his soothing touch.

But wishing, wondering, and hoping will not get me anywhere.

All that I can do is hope that God cares.

Cares enough to bring him back to me...

If we're meant to be...

Oh, if we're meant to be.

I'll wait.

Wait, wait, wait.

Wait for the day that will make up for all of those horrid nights of tears.

It may take months, or even years.

But it will be well worth the wait to be back in his arms of security.

I can wait.

I will wait.

Wait, wait, wait.

Wait.
