Memoirs of the deeply depressed

By Kaylee Croston

I look in my heart, find only pain

I see out side, the depressing rain

I try to keep from being broken

But leave to many words unspoken

Come each new season, I hide it more

My soul, it hides, behind a door

Do you enjoy the view?

Of me, from the inside, dying

I promise you that I am trying

Trying, to lead this lonely life

On my kitchen table there is a knife

I grasp it; I don’t want to live this lie!

I wound my neck, and slowly die
