When joining this challenge, be informed: I will not make it easy for you. I may not make it extremely difficult, but that just depends on how it clicks in your mind. The way this challenge works is that I give you a noun, and you write your short story about that noun. I am allowed to give you proper nouns. For those who REALLY want it difficult, I have an extra surprise. Just tell me, but you must obey the rules, which will be explained in a moment

  1. You comment on this challenge, and I give you a subject for your story, an event that must take place in the story, and one food. All of these are to be included.
  2. You write a short story about the subject; in which the event takes place, and the food is mentioned.
  3. You comment again, telling me you have written it, and I will come check it out. I tend to look at other work if I like what I see, so make it your best!

For example: Let's say I commented on this challenge. (For those of you that understand the challenge, you can stop now)

The subjectI have given myself is, say, a chair.

The event that must take place is a murder.

The food is a steak.

I might write a story from the point of view of a rich man's dining chair. The man would have a date over to his house, and when she was cutting her steak, she would accidentally flick the knife at him and kill him. Of course, the chair doesn't know the whole story. The chair only knows what it sees. The detective might have inspected the dining room for clues, and come up with nothing. The chair wants to tell them who did it, but it can't, because it's a chair. Story of its life. Pretend I finished the story, because I don't want to make this too long. Of course, what you wrote would be MUCH more detailed. i just want to explain.

The murder would not have to be the biggest event in the story. it might be a stackable chair used in a circus, and one of the audience members was murdered during the show. And the chair gets on with being a chair.

Well, that's it. Comment if you would like to recieve the challenge!
