Ode to the Fleet Mechanic

Fix the lights, change the oil,

The car won’t start, must be the coil.

The brakes are bad,  a tire is flat,

Lift the hood,  the fluid splat.

Its hard work to figure out

The reason why the fluid spouts

With grease on hands and long night shifts

This staff  will find the engine rifts

But soon they will dispel all fear

And say the words we want to hear:

“I had a hunch or just a notion

Of how to get this car in motion

So you can relax, stop being nervous

Your vehicle is back in service..”
