For parents it was first love when you were finally was able to see your precious child. You changed their diapers, you made sure to teach them right from wrong, you was there to wipe the tears from their eyes, and they came to you for everything. Each day and every moment you always told yourself you didn't want to ever miss anything they do because you know one day they will be old enough to make their own decisions and move out. But everyone told you that the teenage years would be difficult. Some may even told you your kids may rebel against you. Of course not your kids! You were making sure you raised them right! But there is a moment that no parent expects or even want to hear from their child no matter what age they may be. It's a huge blow to your heart and mind. Rumors may start spreading about your family, you may even think you did something wrong. You possibly told yourself, “Where did I go wrong”? “What about the people in my church”? “Will they look at us different”? That moment no parent wants to hear from their child is, “Mom, Dad I am gay”.

How do you respond? Do you yell and start denying it while quoting scripture about how it's an abomination? Do you decide to send them off to some “camp” to help them get over it? Do you walk away pretending like you didn't hear them? Or maybe your child isn't gay but you got the drastic phone call one late evening from a family member crying their eyes out because their son Matthew or daughter Brittany has came out to them. How do you comfort them in this time? What do you say to them? So many people across the world including my own parents have had to deal with this. Positive Do's and negative Dont's have been done to thousands of people which have led them to either push them further away from God and family or actually made them want to be closer to God. This book will list 10 do's and don'ts for when your child or love one comes out the closet.
