The stale fire has yet to burn
The children dance among cats
and fail to bring them home

and I am alive here
where I soon will not
I am enjoying
my pen
my woman
my music
is it my pen I enjoy
it is not
it is the ability to live forever
on a page
is she my woman I enjoy
she is not
but I like hearing her breathe
and her laughter to me
is the most beautiful music
