I am not hungry
But I feel empty inside
And I'm not being chased
But I feel I need to hide

I have felt the sweet caress
I let it rule over my life
And it left my life in ruin
As it proved to be a lie

I found refuge in a serum
On the darkest of my nights
And I felt as free as angels
In the swirling summer sky

But the chemicals consumed me
Like the moon controls the tide
And all my dreams and visions
Began to plummet from the sky

As I began to sink
And nightmares filled my mind
With suddenness I realized
I should not have gone so high

I loved that sweet caress
I let it rule over my life
But I mustn't tempt myself
If I am strong, I may survive
