Footprints cover the beaten path.
The trail sprawls in every angle.
Damaged.
The imperfections show.
Flowers no longer grow.
Once beautiful, now left to decay.
Sediments of morning dew
Show the weakness of this path.
As the year lingers, it vanishes.
All to be forgotten.
Now covered with greenery,
It's a new a different scenery,
But the cycle never ends.
As winter comes the flowers fade.
The trees shed their once beautiful leaves.
It is cold and dark.
Lonliness sets in.
The path now hidden with snow,
Is blistered by the wind.
Once again a beaten road
All to be forgotten.
