How deep the soul of light that shines just there,

For even here, where darkness often rules

There is a hunger for light’s boundless care.

Each gentle tendril graceful beaut’eus hue

As if timing its decent into life

It catches: lights afire pining true

Within the hearts of pale and sightless souls

With pain and hope, with haunted searching eyes

They reach toward you with listless pleading cries.
