"Come on ladies! I have a nail appointment at four and I can’t be late!" said coach. I hated her. She cared mostly about her looks and only let the good kids play on the field. I played sweeper which is the worst position. Oh and by the way, I’m talking about soccer. Like put the not-so-good people in too. She gets on my nerves. The whole 8th grade thing gets on my nerves. The only two things I like about it is 1 high school is next year and 2 my totally awesome boyfriend, Adam. He is the most popular boy in the whole school. His mom and dad own a gold business and his dad plays on the San Diego Chargers as QB and a Super Bowl champ. Adam hates girls who wear a lot of make-up and who act like a drama queen. I am never like that. All of the other girls are. He moved in my neighborhood this summer and I instantly fell in love. We met at the pool which was good for me because well he was hot and so I would have to look out my window anymore. That led to dating when he asked me out at the summer mixer. Adam is also the captain of the football team and loves snowboarding. He is best friends with Kendall Schmidt, Carlos Pena, Logan Henderson, and James Maslow, as am I. Like me he loves to sing, dance, and act. He even has his own band! That brings me here in San Diego, with stupid people (not Adam, Kendall, Carlos, James, or Logan.) I can’t wait until soccer practice is over. Today is Friday so after his football game, Adam and I go on a date. I know I’m 14. Big deal. I can go get pizza with Adam. I call it a date. Mom and Dad would kill me if they found out our "hang-outs" are dates. With my parents there is no sneaking around. They have done it all before. Walking off the field, McKensey and Brook wave me over. They are on my soccer team and are my best friends. They are twins and it has been that way for a while. When I say twins, I mean they talk and dress alike. Sometimes they give me a headache, but I deal with it. "Dude umm, are you going on a date with Adam tonight?" Brook said interlocking arms with McKensey and not looking at me but at her phone. "Why wouldn’t I? Its Friday isn’t it?!?" I said like don’t you know this by now. “I don’t know. I thought you were gonna hang out with us." Why are you telling me this now?!? For the past 5 months, I have been going out with Adam on Friday nights. "Well, you guys can come....I guess. I can text Adam and see if Kendall, Carlos, James, and Log-." Being interrupted, I knew what was going on. Brook likes Kendall and James and McKensey likes Logan and Carlos. That’s why, yep I’m smart. ""Eeeepp!! I can’t wait until the game is over!" McKensey noted towards me. I like walked away. Yeah, they gave me a dirty look. I don’t care. Get over it. Also, I doubt the guys even like Brook and McKensey. They are the total opposite of me. They hate girls like that. At the football game, I met up to see Adam before his game. "So did you figure out what we are going to do tomorrow night?" Adam asked me, out of breath from running laps. "Yeah, I’m going to tell my mom that I’m staying at Brook’s house, and then I will meet up with you and your adorable face behind your house in your shed." Tomorrow is our 100 day date and the tradition that their family has is on the 100 day of dating, they kiss in the back of the shed. By the way, Adam's mom and dad are proud that he has such an awesome girlfriend like me. Don’t mean to brag but it’s true. Anyway having a 100 day date is awesome because I heard from a little bird that Adam is the best kisser in San Diego. Sweet! "Okay, awesome. Oh and we have to watch out for my mom and dad. They have cameras set up so they can get a pic of us to put in a scrapbook." Oh wow, Adam made his parents sound weird but they are not. They are like the coolest people I will prolly ever meet. Better than my parents. Mine are strict and moody. "Great! Well, good luck Adam! Love you!" I gave him an over the fence hug thing. "Love you too sweetheart!" He ran off the field like that. I look over to my right and here comes Brook and McKensey. “Wow that’s a lot of make-up you've got on and a lot or too much bling!" I said looking from head to toe at both of them. Stunned. "Don’t we look fantabulous!!? Now they have to love us!!" Brook told me looking at a mirror she had pulled out of her purse. “I hope you guys know that they don’t like girls who are fake, wear too much bling, and make-up and you guys broke that rule." I told them like I knew the boys my whole life. Well, I have but that file has been closed. “What do you mean? Wait! I know what you’re trying to do!" McKensey said like she knew it all. "Please tell me because I have no idea what you’re talking about!" "You don’t want us to date them because you don’t want it to be awkward." Brook noted. "First of all, if you guys haven’t noticed, I have a boyfriend named Adam. Second, they are my best friends and you guys are my best friends. I just don’t want to see you guys hurt when they reject you." I told them looking at their face like please don’t punch me. "Wow! I guess you really do love us...awww!" said McKensey looking at Brook who was agreeing with her. That took pressure off my chest. “I love you Clementine! You’re the best friend ever!!” McKensey told me and yes my name is Clementine. I know the name of a mini orange. Grandmother that died 16 years ago, mom liked the name, and this file is also closed. Like Maestra says “Don’t make me get the ridiculous file out!” Anyway, back to the game, McKensey and Brook waved over to the boys like I said nothing to them just a second ago. They didn’t wave back and gave them dirty looks.LOL!! I told them that would happen. They didn’t listen. Yeah, I felt bad but you should have seen their faces!! “Clementine did you see that…they gave us dirty looks…” McKensey noted looking like she was going to cry. “Aw, sweetheart it’s okay. They aren’t your types I guess…” telling them trying not to laugh but to look serious like I actually cared. Of course, like drama queens, they ran off crying behind the stadium. I would have run after them but I will see them in 15 min when the game was over. I can talk to them when the guys are around and of course Adam. Watching Adam the whole time, I noticed that he would occasionally look for me. I loved him for that. Well, I loved him for everything, his hair, eyes, abs, his lips, his body, and smile. He was the complete package. At the corner of my eye, I noticed that a guy was running after Adam. The same guy that broke Adam’s arm last year. Crash! Slam! Wow! All I saw was Adam, on the ground, in pain. I ran of the bleachers, jumped the fence, and dashed over to him. “Adam? Adam! Adam!!” I said hoping he was okay. “I’ll call an ambulance!” said Adam’s coach. I laid my head on his chest like this was the end of him. He was breathing which was a totally good sign. That’s another thing I’m good at. First Aid. When the ambulance came, I stood up and watched him get taken away. I went with Kendall, James, Carlos, and Logan to the hospital. Logan’s mom drove us. Arriving a little after the ambulance, the guys and I got in and waited in the waiting room. “Do you guys think he is okay?” I asked the guys in total panic. “He should be. I hope so. He did hit pretty hard.” Logan said with his smart cap on. The nurse walked out with her clip board like she was looking for somebody. “Clementine, Logan, James, Carlos, and Kendall…you make come back to see Adam.” said the nurse which was good because I knew Adam was okay and I wanted to see him. I walk into the room to Adam sitting there with the cords hooked to his chest and arms, his arm is in a cast, and his eyes closed because of the ice pack. “There he is, you have an hour.” The nurse stated. “Adam….sweetheart are you okay?” I said in the calmest voice that I can. “Not really.” Adam said in a hasty voice. “”Never thought that our date would be in the hospital, huh?” I told Adam as he sort of smiled. “So, Adam did you break your arm or what?” said James feeling bad for Adam. “Broken and Concussion.” Adam said again sounding hasty. I felt really bad for him and when I get ahold of that stupid guy, I’m gonna give him the San Diego Smash down. “When will you be out of the hospital?” Carlos asked curious.” After I get surgery tomorrow, so prolly 5-7 days.” Adam noted towards us. “Aw, so I can’t hang out with you until then?” I asked him hoping he would say no. “You can just until 8. Oh and I want to see you after my surgery tomorrow. So we can have our 100 day date…well kind of.” I smirked as that was the best answer ever. The nurse walked it and told us that we had to leave because an hour is up and Adam has surgery tomorrow morning at 7. “I love you Adam.” He looked at me with the little sparkle in this cornea that he gets when he is going to cry. “I love you too Clementine.” He managed to lean over to me to give me hug. As his head was in my arms, I felt tears run down my arm and I started to cry with him. This was like saying good-bye forever. I walked out and immediately gave the guys a hug. I needed one really bad. I don’t care who it was, by best friends, my best girlfriends, or an old hobo. I don’t care. They all hugged me for a while then we left and got ice cream to lift our spirits up a little bit. The crying was because our 100 day date was ruined because of the stupid football player that not only broke his arm, but now he has to get surgery on it. Oh My God, why does this have to happen to me?!? I started crying some more. We had to immediately leave because the guys didn’t want me to embarrass myself. As soon as we got to my house, James walked out and opened my door to walk me up to my front steps since his mom was driving and the guys already got dropped off. I hugged him and not one of those just friend hugs, a kind of hug I would give Adam. He squeezed me and I didn’t let go until my crying calmed it’s self-down. “Thank you, James. I really needed a hug. You’re the best. See you tomorrow.” I told him walking in my house, throwing my key on the table. “You’re welcome, Clementine. I know how you feel. Adam should be fine. Surgery will do him good. Get a good night sleep and I will see you in the morning.” I walked upstairs and lay in bed for at least an hour before I fell asleep. Morning was slow because I didn’t want it to be. Adam must of texted me before surgery. The message said” Hey Clementine, I hope to still see you after surgery. Love you. Xoxo. Adam.” My heart just opened and fell out. All of a sudden I heard my Big Time Rush ringtone go off. It was James. “Hello” “Hey Clementine, I am coming to pick you up. I’ll be at your house in 45 min.” “Okay, James, see you then.” “Bye” We both hung up. I sat for at least 10 minutes until I remembered that James is coming to pick me up. I got out of bed a walked to the bathroom. My hair was a mess and all I was going to do with it today was scrunch it. I’ll put on a little eye shadow and lip gloss. I ran downstairs and saw mom and dad sitting at the kitchen table. “Clementine, where are you going?” dad asked. “Hospital with the guys. James is coming to pick me up in 25 minutes. Why?” I told him grabbing an apple out of the fridge. “No reason, oh and by the way, why are you going to the hospital?” mom said like she had asked the question the first time. My parents always do that. “Adam is getting surgery today and he asked me to come. Okay?” I stated rolling my eyes to the back of my head. “I guess s-“Dad started to talk but I interrupted him. “Good!” James’ mom beeped the horn. I ran out not even saying bye to my parents. They don’t care anyways. We drove to pick up Kendall, Carlos, and Logan. I texted McKensey and Brook to meet us there and they agreed. Figures. The guys are there. We arrived at the hospital to see Adam’s mom and dad sitting in the waiting room. “Hey!” They looked at me like I was a complete stranger until they noticed who I was. “Hello, Adam just got out of surgery. The doctor said we can go back when he wakes up.” “That’s good. How do you think it went?” I asked Adam’s mom hoping she will know. “Good. His arm should be healed in 6-8 weeks.” Okay good! Even know he can’t play in the championships, I know he’s okay. That’s all that matters. “The family and friends of Adam can come back now.” The nurse said. I felt really stupid when I was the only one who like sprung out of their seat. “Hey Adam.” I said walking in the room first making this to be major heart surgery. “Hey babe, were you okay last night after you left because Kendall said you were balling.” Adam told me awake and alert. “Not really, I was worried about you and I know I’m 14. I plan to be with you forever and I really care about you.” I told Adam, putting all of my love into it and still keeping some for our not-so-date. “Aw, well you see that I’m fine right? Hug?” I thought I was going to crying but I held it in. After everyone got to see Adam, it was only him and I. We were on our “date” eating fake mashed potatoes and microwave pork chops. “How’s this for a date?” Adam asked me. I couldn’t tell if he was kidding or being serious because he was laughing and he does both. “It’s better than nothing…I guess.” I looked down and Adam pulled my head up. “Clementine, I know this is not perfect but it’s better than nothing right? Come here and sit with me.” said Adam and his passionate self. I walked over and sat with him. I looked in his eyes and he kissed me. I swear fireworks went off. His lips were awesome. I swear he is the best kisser ever. We sat there for a good 10 minutes. It was perfect. That made my day. “Now how was that?” Adam asked me like he knew how much of an awesome kisser he was. Well he should know, don’t girls tell him? “Amazing Adam…The best 100 day date ever.” His right eye sparkled and I smiled. In a week, Adam was sitting with me at his house on the couch. His mom was baking cookies and asked Adam and I to taste. They were the best cookies ever. “Isn’t my mom’s cookies awesome?!?” I looked at him still chewing, so I kind of nodded. He laughed not the “LOL that’s hilarious!!” just the cute Adam laugh. He asked his mom if we could go outside and as usual she said yea. I helped Adam put on his sweats shirt and put on his slides on for him. We walked out holding hands and sat on the porch swing. “So does your arm still hurt?” I asked Adam. “Not really, I mean it does, but not as much as it did before.” Adam said stating his opinion. I noticed that I have been cuddling with him a lot lately. Oh well. “Well, that stinks that you can’t play in the championships. Are you still going to the game?” I asked him. “Yea, I don’t know if I was going. I was hoping that you could come with me. If you can, I know you have soccer.” I couldn’t respond. Well, I have soccer on Friday but it’s only until 4, if coach has another nail appointment. “Yea, I should be able to come, coach always gets her nails done on Fridays so we end at 4. What time is the game?” He shrugged. “Mom! Check my schedule, what time is the championship game on Friday?” he yelled to her. His voice was so perfect. “7:30, sweetheart, are you going with Clementine?” his mom asked him. “Yeah, could I have some money we are going to go get pizza the game?” I smiled at him and he smiled back. He was the best boyfriend ever. I think he knew about how bad I thought our hospital date was. “Adam, do you really mean-. “I couldn’t stop smiling. “Yep!” he said interrupting me but it was okay. I leaned over and kissed him. We sat for at least 5 minutes before him mom came in with a camera. “It’s not the shed, but it’s still a kiss from my little Adam!” I looked at him and gave him one of those your-mom-is-crazy-lets-go-away-looks. He looked back at me the same way. We ran outside and walked to the park, holding hands. His hand was as soft as cotton candy. Not sticky but fluffy. “Wow, your mom really wanted that pic.” I told him and he looked back and nodded his head vibrantly. We sat on the bench and met up with the guys. “So Adam, are you coming to the game?” James asked while the other guys leaned over the listen to his answer. “Yea, Clementine and I are going together.” I smiled again at him. “Awesome, do you want to get Sharky’s Burritos or something to eat I’m starving?” Carlos noted towards us hoping that he would be able to eat his favorite fast food. “Yea, it’s okay with me. How about you guys?” Logan stated. We all agreed and walked down the road to Sharky’s Burritos. Carlos, jumping for joy, ran inside almost knocking his helmet on the floor. Yes, Carlos wears a helmet. It’s lucky and he is very hyper so it comes in handy. Like for example, James carries around a mirror and his lucky comb, Logan carries around colored pencils in his front pocket of his shirt, and Kendall….just talks back a lot. I love the guys for that. They are natural, not fake. They are kids in a teen body. “Are you gonna eat that?” Carlos asked me. “Take it. I was gonna give it to you anyway because I’m full.” I told him. He gave me half of two expressions. One is you crazy? How can you not finish that? The other half was awesome. More for me!! He is so silly and really cute at the same time. It’s not like I love him or any of the guys, it’s just they have always been there for me since we were in diapers. This week was horrible. Coach was just as rude as always because her hair was flat; her nails had dirt under them, etc. Give me a break woman! The only reason she has this job is because she gets paid $100 an hour. That’s why we have practice every day until 5 except Fridays. Which was good so Adam and I could go have time to ourselves. If I do the math right, she makes $200 a week!! That filthy woman!! It’s Friday night and Adam and I walked from the soccer field to get pizza. “Ready? It’s already 5 and I want to see the whole game!!” I gave Adam the look of death like you did not just say that to me. “Pumpkin...” That’s better. The demand thing gets on my nerves. “Why can’t we just wait until after the game then?” I asked him giving him a dirty look. “That’s cool.” We arrived at the field and sat on the bleachers. “I have to pee.” Adam got up and walked to the bathroom. Looking around for the guys, I noticed that Adam didn’t come back for at least 15 minutes. I walked off the bleachers and looked around the corner. He was standing there kissing another girl!!! “Adam! What are you doing?!? I HATE YOU!!!” I yelled at him and stormed off. “Clementine! Come back babe!! I Love You! You don’t understand!” Adam yelled back. I heard him but I just kept moving. “Clementine, where are you going?!? The games about to start!” James asked. “Home, Adam is a big filthy CHEATER!!! I HATE HIM!!!” I yelled to James. As I was yelling, I noticed that I started crying. “Clementine! Come back! I’m sorry!” Adam yelled at me but I totally ignored him. I ran home which was only like 2 miles from the football field. Running up my driveway, I was really tired from running that I just fell to the ground. Cry intensely, I got up and ran inside after lying on the cold ground for a couple minutes. “Clementine, I thought you were at the football game.” Mom asked. “Well, mom things don’t always work out just like me and Adam’s relationship!!” I yelled to her. I ran upstairs and immediately broke the picture Adam gave me of him last year for my birthday. I slammed it on the ground and stepped on it. The picture shattered. Good. I hate him. After all I did for him. Was he planning this? “Clementine, someone is here for you.” Mom squalled up the steps. “Send them up mom!” I yelled back laying on my bed, crying my eyes out. “Clementine?” I know that voice. It was James. What was he doing here? He should be at the football game. “Hey James. What are you doing here?” I asked him hoping he would have a good reason to miss the championship game. “I came to see if you’re okay. Also, I’ll tell Adam that he is totally stupid for cheating on a girl like you.” He said with a little twinkle in his eye. “Thank you James.” I hugged him like the kind of hug I would give the back stabbing cheater. I let go and he kissed me. I’m pretty sure he beat Adam; actually I’m sure of it. “Wow, I love you James.” I told him. “Love you too, Clementine.” We hugged again. He was officially my boyfriend after that and my mom and dad were fine with it because his parents knew my parents for like ever. We got a ride to the football game. He played like a star. Of course, Brook like hated me for stealing her man but who cares. I don’t because James was perfect. “Clementine! Give me another chance please?” I looked at Adam. The little guy is so desperate. Who cares? Go back to your animal you call a good kisser. “Sorry Adam, I’m already taken!” James came over to the fence and kissed me quick. “What’s up BRO??” James asked him and gave a little laugh after. “You’re dating James?!? What’s wrong with me?!?” I looked at him like are you serious, you just ruined our relationship. “Everything is wrong with you Adam. You’re selfish and only care about yourself! Since James is sweet and helps me when I’m upset about dating…..you…..I decided that I HATE YOU!!” I nodded at James and he ran back on the field. “What?!? I still love you!” he said to me not even caring about how desperate he sounded. “Aw, Adam, how about we go over to the bike rack.” We walked over. “Adam lets kiss.” He leaned over to kiss me and I pushed him into the bikes and walked away. “Clementine! Guess what? We are over now!!” I looked back and screamed “We over like an hour ago smart one!!” He struggled to get up and I struggled trying not to laugh. I walked over to the fence to watch James and the guys. After the game that they won, 56-43, we all went to go get pizza. “I’m so glad that I don’t have to deal with Adam’s smart mouth anymore.” I told James and the guys. “Yeah, James and you will be cute together.” said Carlos wishing he had a girlfriend. Suddenly, a girl about 5’5 walked towards him. “Hello, I’m Charlie! Do you want to go out sometime?” Carlos checked her out from head to toe. She had that beautiful English accent just like he liked. She was also natural, not make-up to look pretty. “Sure.” Carlos shuddered. He smiled the whole time we ate. “See Carlos. You’re adorable enough to get a date.” I told him he smiles at me like I’m the one who set him up with a date. Okay! I did but he is my best friend and I hated to see him lonely. She wanted to ask him out anyway. “So now we all have girlfriends. I have Clementine, Kendall has Alli, Carlos has that chick that just came over to ask him out and Logan has umm. Oh wait, Logan who is your girlfriend?” said Kendall. We all looked down the table at him. “McKensey.” He said like a confident soldier. “What??? I though you hated girls like her. Where is she by the way?” He looked at his iPhone the whole time. He is a little flirt. I hope he don’t change now he has a girlfriend. “She has to go with her mom tonight to the mall and I didn’t. But she is so beautiful and I couldn’t resist her.” Logan told us. My face, shocked, looked at him until I want paralyzed anymore. Well McKensey is prolly happy. I hope. If she wasn’t she will come and cry to my shoulder for hours. I was happy, the guys were defiantly happy, and my life was perfect with James around. We did eventfully get married but it was like 10 years later. James and I lived on forever. He was sweet with a lot of heart and I was me. I wonder what happened to Adam. I did see him with this one chick but she dumped him by dumping soda on his head a walking away. That girl was Brook dressed up. LOL! He will never get another good girl like me or will he? That ridiculous file is closed. Forever…..

The End…

P.S. James is prolly the best boyfriend ever!! Oh wait….he IS!!!
