Written for my lost love....gone but never forgotten

On his flesh dancing demons dine

Hard to believe he was once in his prime

Perfect little life laid out in a line

It all fades away in time

Six feet under that old oak tree

Dug a hole and buried him deep

Iron clad chains restrain what was once free

From those eyes stubborn tears seep

Reaching out to the shadows of the night

To the shadows where happiness once stood

Much too long he’s had to fight

Give in to darkness – do you think he should?

Too late to make a move

To save this life all others have ignored

To whom does he have to prove?

All had a hand on this forsaken sword
