It was the month of May, four years ago, when our paths had crossed.

Little did I know that you will stay in my life this long.

I thought you were just a friend, maybe I was wrong.

Days dragged on to weeks; weeks to months, until it was a year.

Second came; then third, and this year was the fourth.

I'm not sure if being with you or without is what I loathe.

Has it really been that long? I lay awake sometimes thinking about this.

Thinking how can I be feeling this way still all these years.

Someday you will forget about me; that is just one of my fears.

I never thought we'd end up just like this: friends, or maybe in between.

For everything we've been through, you still haven't mentioned love.

There were times I was so close to blurting it out, by now I should have.
