May, oh dear, sweet May

Say goodbye to your April

To the heat and insanities

For you have your own complexities.

Don't be lame, don't be gloom

Always wear your cheery smile

'Coz you always spread sunshine

To this simple life of mine.

Cherished be the day you came

For my heart is now happy and gay

Because I'm not ready yet

To face the days that are dark and wet.

Oh dearest, sweetest May

I secretly hope you're here to stay

While you are, enjoy while it last

Treasure every moment if you must.

May, oh dear, sweet May

Keep your eyes and ears closed

For here comes June

And she'll be weeping again, soon...
