"  Harbinger  "

I heard him calling:

"I'm coming!  In the feathers.

No fotograph!  Just watch & listen!"

Then he landed.  His perch the railing.

His red vest, perky & daring.

Head excited, side - to - side.

On guard, yet alert to flirt!

"Where's my silent partner?!

This porch exhales a nest request!"

He dove away suddenly.

And then, on behest, relanded,

As if to chirp: "I'll let you know -

This does look like Real Estate!"

Then with a determined twitter

Flew to reconsider my deabate.
