This is the room.

A room I did not want to be in.

A room that was full of sadness.

This is the room where I sat in the front.

I sat, waiting,

waiting for it all to be over.

And still not wanting it to ever end.

This is the room where family and friends remember.

Where laughter and tears come.

Where hands of loved ones were held.

This is the room where I listened to stories.

A room where it was okay to cry and laugh and smile.

A room where it was okay to remember a life lost,

because that is what we were all there for.

This was the room.

This was the room I was afraid to enter.

Not anymore.
