The kingdom of the Legendary Betrayed has fallen. With the palace in ruins and winter fast approaching the remaining children of the Betrayed, now heirs to their fathers broken realm, must flee their shattered home and seek aid in the lands of their former allies.

Hunted, by both mortal men and the disciples of the gods, alone, powerless and charged with the welfare of their infant siblings, Caesium and Treslin have little hope of reaching safety.

Andrais, Disciple of the dark God Anthor, is desperate to reach the children of the Betrayed first. For his prophet has shown him that one of the Betrayer’s offspring can be turned. Intent now, the man will do anything to lay his hands on one of them.

The lands are changing. Without the leadership of the Betrayed the five sister kingdoms fight for supremacy. Bloody battles will ensue, court politics will run strife and through it all a small family will have to endure.
