Pit Bull Number One

with rocket boosters on his paws

gliding above the earth

of course the dog mission

nuclear fission and moon mission

aboard a tin foil rocket

machines and sprockets

tired of working like this

but the bacon came

and the rocket food cart

offered food for a hugry soul

and the Pit Bull

this one could eat

and he ordered one hundred bacon cheeseburgers

and he paid for them with moon chips

antique coins like buried treasure

and the bacon slid over moist lips

a hungry snout leaking

with a pink tongue and white teeth

biting into the red beef

and the rocket food cart flew away

and the Pit Bull with his canine grin

they photographed him with

mustard on his chin

with able paws and able claws

his meal like antique coins

a buried treasure

boy can they eat

man can the Pit Bulls eat

and up in the air

on moon mission fission

propelling tail

his life set sail

back to Mother Earth

where he can grab

any old cheeseburger

from any old slider
