I'm working in the cowboy rain

Not ready to feel the pain

Herding sheep and working buffalo

Getting ready for a bonanza show

Dripping wet, bulls stare me down

Tough as nails, I can put em' down

Not afraid of anything

And my heart always sings

In the cowboy rain

The old guitar went out of tune

Recorded some tracks in early June

Man I'm on a roll

Cowboy rain has takin' its toll

The rain can dampen your soul

Can stop a bull in his tracks

But sweat on my brow

I'm takin' my life back

In the cowboy rain

The ladies all stop and stare

When I'm workin'

In the hot sun's glare

And I really earned my tan

In the cowboy rain

I'm a workin' man
