About a friendly dog

With his rump on the floor,

He is eager to please;

A dog with so much more.

And of course, without fleas!

Standing so patient in his cage;

A lover, defender, guardian.

An angel, a piece of Heaven--

And of course without fleas!

Giving me his paw in friendship--

A true canine-wolf, sweet baby.

Given by the laws of nature,

The scent of his coat, soapy.

In the tub, a groomer's love.

With his rump on the floor,

He is eager to please.

A dog with so much more--

And of course, without fleas!

This brings back so many fond memories of the dogs we've had through the years.
I don't have any pets now -- I work most of the day and have noone to look after the pet while I'm at work -- sad, because I'd like the compansionship of a dog.
