Rain  poured down so hard

Fog dampened the moist air

Rainy day just echoes

Mud between my old toes

Wish I was a bit younger

Every scene is gray

Like a black and white television

And the rainy day echoes

Wish it was a sunny day

Today the bread lines are longer

Its hard to stretch a penny

Even kangaroos search their pockets

An old toothbrush could lend a hand

There's a crumb on the toothbrush stand

And the rainy day echoes

Its hard to see the green

Hiding between the trees

November's tides were turbulent

The summer just came and went

Wish I was a bit younger
