A poem dedicated to the memory of my sister which shows a correlation to our relationship when she was here.

Because of her

I am here

And for her love I'll shed a tear

My motive and thoughts are sincere

I know she's in heaven but I wish she was here

Objects are fragile within this thing called life

And the day that she left me I struggled through strife

As I looked for clarity within the cabinet

A pain struck me, call it a knife

As my heart healed slowly from pain & leisure

I carried on with the procedure

But as I sat in her room

It suddenly struck

No more would I see her

With no other choice

I crafted a plan

Upon her gravesight

I decided to fan

Myself as I pushed the thoughts

and potential

of a 16 year old becoming a man

The journey may stop

but it never will end

I'm truly glad that we had made amends

I thank you for being my first sister

until the day that I see you again
