As I walk slowly down a road that leads me no where
No one notices tears falling or even act that they care,
They walk by with neither a glimpse nor a quick stare.
I am Ignored while my broken soul is here, laying bare.

This sky is overcast and the future seems gray,
I wonder where life take me by the end of this day.
I steady search for a memory of life back then
Of a once young boy of either nine or maybe then.

The time where life seemed so innocent and pure,
The way things look when you're young and immature.
I remember laying in the shade of a great green pine
Dreaming of the future that I thought would be mine.

What happened to the boy that I used to be,
Smiling in the mirror while staring back at me?
That boy I used to see has long been left behind
A withered look in the mirror is all that I can find.
