You played me like a fiddle that had not been tuned in years.

You had this air of confidence that washed away my fears.

You touched my face, I let you in, now you are so cold.

You never even noticed that I shed a tear.

I blame myself, I wanted so much for you to notice just me,

but you barely even noticed my plea.

Now you are missing out on all that is me,

and I am dissillusioned that I have just let it be.

Now my skin has grown one more layer and I see that I am not a victim.

as not everyone is as sincere as me.
