My tears are not for you,

I have been crying for days.

My heart is not for you,

It has been broken for years.

I am not sure what is wrong or whether

there is a cure.

I don't have the keys,

but it doesn't matter I can't find the door.

I watch the horses go up and down

from my car on this merry go round.

I want you to look past all my pain.

I have a heart that wants to love again.

I wear my heart on my sleeve,

but I like it there.

I get to feel things that are usually a heartbeat away.
