The Left-Handed Chair

It was the day of the essay writing contest. I had been chosen by my classmates to represent our class, and I was very nervous. When I went in the classroom where the contest was being held, I noticed nine chairs had been arranged, with the other chairs off to the side. When I found my assigned seat, I was very shocked to see it was a left-handed chair and the only one around at that (yes, I am a leftie). Why was I shocked?
Because statistics show that only about 15% of people in the world are left-handed, and so why would they bother setting up a left-handed chair at all? My point? Let us say there were 40 chairs in that classroom—only one is a left-handed chair. What are the chances of a left-handed chair being set up there at all, let alone a left-handed chair being the seat I was assigned to? That’s when I realized—it was God. I wondered why He would go out of His way just to make sure I was comfortable. But He really loves us that much, and He wants His presence to be known in our lives. He wants us to have a little comfort even in uncomfortable and nerve-racking situations. That’s how much He loves us. Even in little ways He would show His love and grace for us, just because he cares. I hope this can be a reminder to all of us. Since God goes out of His way to show His love for us, we should do the same. Let’s try to glorify Him in everything we do, even the little things. :)
