I told my one true love I loved her and she threw me away. true

*BREAKING THROUGH THE ICE*

for a year i looked at you
through a sheet of ice
built from both sides strong
you held my heart like a vice

i had my own issues with relationships
try to avoid them to ever be
your vice like grip was to strong
squeezed out my spirit, let it free

but there was that ice
built strong from both sides
holding back all the love
that my lonely spirit confides

your image was blurry
and muffled what you said
was a completely different message
by the time it entered my head

i was following a recipe
of a meal that pleases all
i miss measured the main ingrediant
the ice began to fall

the force that held us apart
so the other wouldn't know
our secret barrier of ice
was about to let it show

your image is now clear
your message is getting through
the ice was built strong
but i've busted through to you

the ice had jagged edges
we were all cut very deep
it will melt away like water
taking the barriers it did keep

I'm sorry about your true love...but if she threw you away doesn't it mean that it's not true love?

I like this poem, anyway :)
