"...Well let me tell you something and it may come as a surprise to you, but things are rough all over."

Is this really me? he asked,

Am I really what you see?

Behind the gun, and 'neath the mask,

Can you see my broken past?

Is this really me? she asked,

Am I really what you see?

Under the make-up and hair dye,

Can you see the tears I cry?

Is this really me? they ask,

Are we really what you see?

No stereotypes or social class,

This is what many of us ask,

From behind a mask,

Or hair dye,

Who am I?

Hi KT. Well, I have to say that I liked this very much. There are some great lines:

Behind the gun, and 'neath the mask,
Can you see my broken past?

Under the make-up and hair dye,
Can you see the tears I cry?

Very powerful images indeed. A big fat LIKE IT from me!
