I watched you dreaming this morning,

your head collapsed in the lumps of your pillow.

It's like I'm looking at an artists impression of 'Angel with an invisible Halo'.

The creases around your eyes tell stories, of smiling beauty when you're awake.

Etched in those lines are memories...memories you and I did make.

Examining your stubble grown cheeks, I'm amazed at the man you are.

I can't help but steal kisses from you there, leaving my lips with prickly scars.

Slowly I'm lost in the nape of your neck as adrenaline takes over me.

A mixture of nibbling kisses I pay you...

ever so tenderly.

Slowly I climb to the tip of your chin, this journey almost conquered now.

I'm almost at the opening peak where love is mutually devoured.

Softly my nose touches yours, our breath so close, so warming.....

Your eyes slowly open......

and mine slowly close.....

as I give you your first kiss good morning.
