This is another English homework. It was suppose to be a father or uncle soldier fighting at war, writing to his child or a young member of his family. I did not mention things about the trenchers as a father wouldn't want to upset his children at the time especially if they were quite young. Please comment and tell me what you think of it.

Dear Penelope and Elaine,

My two darlings, you must know that I think of you every day and love you very much. I think of all those sunny days when we would take Bushy for long walks. Bushy would run up and down with the two of you, how is he? Has our puppy grown? I can imagine. He probably is half my size by now. What about Miss Pumpkin, your doll, Elaine? Are you  and Miss Pumpkin still having tea parties at the back of the garden, with the tea set I gave you last Christmas? How is school going? Have you been good girls and bahaved in class? What new things have you learnt? Penelope are you still writing in your diary?

I will see you soon and then we shall go for long walks with Bushy. Look after your mother for me.

Lots of love your dear old father xxx

Very short and sweet. Beneath all of it you can feel the sadness and the need to see his children. Kenz x
