Drops of red ... why?

Together my heart and his in synchrony beats,

Through his tiny body our blood flows ...

Within the serene, sanctity of my womb he has chosen as his home ...

To have him inside of me a pleasure ...

An immense honor, for he's a part of you ...

A secret wish, only in dreams I believed came true ...

His silent voice, I cannot hear

His tiny heartbeat, I cannot ignore

His sweet face , I cannot see ...

Who is he?  This precious little being?

This creature who has touched me so deeply ?

Tonight drops of red ...

My heart's breaking,

A pain almost unbearable

A pain unexplainable,

Drops of red ...

A sign of sadness

A sign of loss

Did I hurt him ... me?

His mummy?  How could I ?

He forms the fabric of my being ... my heart;

The songs within my soul ... the music and magic that makes me whole ...

Tonight, drops of red ...

The melody wanes ... music fades...stillness ... silence ?

Within me he chose to lie,

How could he by me now die?

Together, my heart and his in synchrony beats,

Through his fragile body, our blood flows,

God's sweet miracle, a mystical enchantment of love

within me grows ... our son ... our baby ...

Could I have hurt him? Me? His mummy?

How did I ?

For tonight drops of red ...why?
