In Loneliness

O Lord! Love you showed, when I longed it so dire

But, I was entrapped in the worldly desire

Reasoning it as true life

When I crossed the bounds, I was shattered

For I knew not love is beyond yearning

Now, mind sought happiness

But I dreaded to return

Into the clutches of the evil world

The world has forsaken me

When I needed it the most

I thought I was broken,

Shattered into pieces

Dying in guilt

Not a soul held my hand to uphold the grieving heart

All the doors were shut on me,

One door though, opened without a knock

With my saviour within

The radiance of His smile

Brought me down on my knees

Heart swooned, and tear couldn’t be held back

Here I am at the King’s throne

So humbly smiling at me

The silence of his smile said,

“Son, don’t wail over the past? I will teach to live the present.”

I lump felt in my throat

His arms opened and I fell into it

To feel the bliss so everlasting
