She took out the cowboy hat and put it on, then she glanced at herself in the mirror. Hmm, just one thing remaining, now she took out her sunglasses and tried them on. That's better, she took a deep breath and walked out of the room and knocked on her parent's door.

However before she could knock, the door opened and her father angrily walked past her, knocking her in the process. She fell on the floor, her innocent eyes full of surprise and shock. Her father glanced at her, his eyes full of rage and walked into her room, slamming the door loudly. She was still on the floor when she heard sobbing, she entered the room to find her mother crying with her head in hands.

She stood there looking at her mother through the sunglasses, "Mom?" Her mother glanced up, her eyes puffy, "what? see what your bastard father has done" she again buried herself in her hands, sobbing loudly. Amanda's brain tried to process what just she heard, "bastard father" but didn't mother said no swearing?

The whole day passed with her parents shouting at each other and when at last night approached, she went to check her mother, she was sleeping, her eyes were puffed and red from crying. Amanda slowly spread the duvet on her tired body. Father had occupied her room so Amanda had no choice than to sleep in the living room. She took off her hairband and snuggled up on the sofa with the cushions, trying to get sleep. But in her mind, the whole day reeled pass before her eyes like an old film, causing tears to flow on her pink trembling cheeks.

In her dream, she was swimming in crystal blue waters with her mother, she looked up and her father was on a sailing boat holding a towel, "Amanda! Evelyn! come on! Breakfast is ready!" she spalshed around the water with her mother for a while, giggling together over a joke. but her dream was shattered by loud shouting.

She slowly opened her eyes, dreading the source of the shouting. Her mother was in the kitchen, while her father stood in the doorway shouting at each other. Her eyes beacame watery and through the blurred-watery vision she saw father raising his hand and slapping her mother... :(
