When you don’t know if the sun
Will rise anymore,
How can you embrace the night?
If you don’t know when
You’ll return to the ground,
How can you enjoy the flight?
When I reside in the shadows
Of doubt and betrayal,
Why is it that I don’t cower in fright?
When I don’t know what’s wrong
Or what I should do,
How can
You
Expect me to stand and fight?
When your lips touch my skin I’m as high as a kite,
But how can I feel you when I know it’s not
Right?
