Sweet girl, bad girl, in love with a man He hits her when he doesn’t understand She cries and hides, she leaves for the night She always comes back, but knows it’s not right But when she comes back he’ll give her a hug Give her a kiss and tell her it’s just love He might even cry and then turn it around She might even say sorry if the right words are found And though the sweet girl, bad girl, may cry Utterly alone and wondering why Feeling rejected and misunderstood The man in her head fills her with joy Though in the pit of her stomach she knows she’s his toy And she waits in the dark on the couch in his home Hoping to god that soon she won’t be alone Afraid that even he will get bored with her soon So she patiently waits in his living room The funny thing is that he won’t ever leave her He knows that another girl would leave if he beat her So he makes her feel like she owes him her life And that’s how the bad man acquired a wife The sad part of the story is things never changed And a girl like that just withered to waste Someday I hope the man can be changed in some way We see too many lives going this way
