I don't have a space to show you were here

I don't have a stone to read your name

I just have the memories, the emptiness, the fears

The lies, the truth - it was all a game.

Sometimes I wish I could go back to those moments

and re read the signs I read

Remember to pull you in close

and spill out everything I should have said

I don't have a marker to place in the ground

I don't have a song to play

I just have your touches, your looks, your smiles

That my brain can't keep away

I wish I could take a breath back to it

and shake you till you woke from your sleep

Convince you that I'm the one for you

and my heart is yours to keep.

I don't have a service for you

To say all the memories up to this day

I just have a date that I started living without you

and the aching wish that you should have stayed....
