I know this poem sounds kind of dark, but that's the point. I wrote this poem that relates to me, but it's also for others. I dedicate this poem to all the women/girls that have had their heart broken ruthlessly by jerk boys. See boys, this is what happens when you reject us.

Tainted Black

There you see a girl

With brown hair and a gentle curl

On the outside she seems so perfect, sweet and nice

But little do people know her insides are as cold as ice

Look a little deeper and you will find

A black tainted heart that has been broken many a time

She put it out there for someone to see

And a boy would grab it and claim it from she

He'd be nice for a while and then, crush

He'd break it into little red dust

So now she keeps her darkness and hurt inside

Because sometimes it's easier to hide
