Henry and I sat in front of each other in silence in the lounge before work started.

We didn't talk for a while and he looked up at me. He nodded.

I felt the heat rise to my face and shook my head, confiding "...You know... I'm really sorry..."

I hope you don't hate me if it goes wrong.

I dropped my head onto my hand, feeling the tears trace out my eyes.

"Don't cry," He gave me a wry smile. I laughed and mumbled "I'll share my blue train with you..."

"What?" Henry asked

I gazed at him and smiled "Nothing, lets go...?"

I stood in front of Seth's office, trying to embrace the situation. I knocked on the door and I came in, closing the door behind me.

He looked up from his papers and peered at me. Putting his papers down and standing up, he came in front of his desk slightly leaning on it. He crossed his arms and spoke

"I don't see your belongings packed I observe."

I breathed in quietly "I'll explain" waiting for his reply "Well?" I heard his gruff voice.

"The father is..." I felt my knees shake

I thank God for such a friend

Seth looked away, his back facing me looking at the windows.

"What do you mean, the father is Henry?" I flinched as I heard his emphasis on Henry's name. He turned around, hovering over me.  "It says nothing on your application of being married, or having a child."

He continued

"You think I play games? I have no reason to, so don't lie to me about Henry being the father!" I bit my lower lip furiously, trying to keep my composer. But it might not work. "Tell me the tru-"

He stared at me wide-eyed. I don't think I actually believed what I said myself.

Seth walked around his desk, the movements of his hands could tell the frustration in him. He glided his hand through his black disheveled hair "You're about to see him go" he glared at me.

"Don't fire him!" I defended Henry "Why fire him when I was in this myself!?"

"I hope you haven't forgotten what you are to me" He said in a low voice, it made me redden.

"Don't change the subject and don't fire him!"

I saw his eyebrows narrow and he asked me "Do you love him?" I felt my knees go weak.

Not something ever compared towards you.

I didn't answer his question.

"If you don't expect me to fire him, what should I do then little Miss?" He asked me alluringly

You're making me go crazy.

I felt the tears slowly break in and I breathed in to answer.

I walked out his office and Henry got up immediately and he talked quietly "The conversation was pretty loud Erin, about everyone heard it-"

"Stop. Please." I choked gently.

He looked at my face directly, and I could just remember his reaction.  I looked up slightly and smiled weakly, and he just knew.

I was fired
