The group of us were on the swinging bridge above.
She was on the grassy knoll below.
I didn't know her, yet. But I would.
And the love we would make, would be spectacular.
Like dragons billowing smoke, filling your lungs with cupid's noxious fumes, or bumblebees stinging you with their needles of love; straight through the heart.
Some people might think or call me crazy.
Always drunk all the time, full, and always smiling. Intoxicated on booze and potential love. Messed up on so much more. Enjoying life.
Never knowing when the day could be your last day, or this breath could be your last breath.
I've been referred to, once or twice in my life, as a crazy punch-drunk hillbilly; on shrooms.
A trippin' 'billy.
As the night grows nearer, drawing out our shadows, I daydream about swimming in the sands. Our naked bodies, writhing, finding the surf.
Seeing her pineapples, swaying in rhythm to the grass bracelets swinging on her arms.
I've always wondered why anyone would even care?
Why anyone would want to escape from this place?
When it's so cozy and homelike, hanging out here with the buds; the best people in the whole entire planet.
The whole entire human race.
You could be here with us.
You should be here with us.
I know you'd fit in perfectly with our bunch; our band of buffoons.
Us trippin' 'billies.
We all could sit round the bonfire, hearing and telling stories. Then watching you dance and gyrate, as the yellow blaze highlights your flowing curves; with a fiery dancer.
The tequilla flowing all night.
Thinking more about your body, my mind going first to your taught stomach, wanting to shoot tequilla from your navel. Then down, traveling past your firm backside. Down your long flowing legs, ending at your painted toes.
Dreaming one day to sip champagne from them.
Feeding off your giggles of pleasure, paired with bubbly goodness.
But why would you even care?
You don't know me and my friends.
You'd probably just run away. Run from this place.
Searching for better company, less piggish, buried - hidden - within this happy human race.
So I just sit back and relax.
Grab me another potable, snack, and smokable.
For you never know when tomorrow could be your last.
I'll always be a trippin' 'billy.
