Night Sky, oh how I love you so.

Blacken out the cruelty on my skin,

The Sickness that lies within.

Keep me worried, yet safe,

Rather not know what lies await.

Hide all that i can't take.

-

Night Sky, oh how I love you so.

Silence what tomorrow comes.

Forgetting all that today has brought,

Hoping this peace last my life.

Knowing that war comes at first light,

Your darkness covers my knowing.

-

Night Sky, oh how I love you so.

For you give me strength,

Comfort my worried mind,

Act as my mighty shield,

Forever protecting me,

From what is waiting still.

-

Night Sky, oh how there you go.

Take from me all my comfort,

Broken shield and empty strength,

Reckless hope and shattered peace,

For light reveals the truth you hid,

The Tomorrow that I thought you'd forbid.
