Journal of Julia Hoskins October, 5th, 2025

The story I am about to tell you is true. My name is Julia Hoskins. My maiden name is Starling. I am almost 25. I've been married for 6 years. This story is all about how I almost got killed by my so called husband. Hey, don't get me wrong, I don't know why he tried to kill me. Just one day he came home after a week long trip in Texas for work and next thing I knew was that I was laying in a hospital bed a couple weeks later in Upstate New York. I will try to remember what happened the week I don't remember. But, it is coming back to me in bits and pieces. The police told me to keep a journal and write down what ever I can remember about what had happened. Right now I am sitting in my bed at my Grandparents house in casts. I have casts on both of my legs, my left arm, a neck brace, and a head wrap. I guess something really bad happened to me. Well, I guess someone came by my house, because I had not been answering the phone or going to work. They saw me and called 911. When I was able to comprehend everything, they told me that if she had not come by, I would be dead. I was just hour from death. I've been home from the hospital for a week now. I was in the hospital, for a while, they sent me home earlier then anyone else would because they think it will help my memory. They also said that it will help if I go back to my house. They said only go once or twice, because it might make me insane. But, I am glad, I hate hospitals. I've had way too many bad memories with hospitals. But, enough with that. Let's try to remember.

Well, I remember that I had just taken a shower and was getting ready to go out to a movie. I really didn't have many friends, because me and my husband (Oh, by the way, his name is Peter Hoskins) just moved to Upstate New York from Southern California. We move al lot because of his work. He is a doctor and a former Captain in the Navy. Back, to the story. I was getting dressed and I hear the garage door open. So, I finish getting dressed and I ran down stairs to see if it was Peter. It was, "Oh, Peter your home," I said to him as I hugged him. But, the weird thing was he didn't hug me back. All he did was head upstairs, and said nothing. Not even a ‘hi honey. I'm tired so I am going to head up stairs,' or even a kiss. I let it pass and I called up to him, "Peter, I'm going out to dinner and a movie. Would you like to come with me," but her did not say anything. So I went up to make sure he was ok. As I walked up the stairs, I heard Peter talking on a phone, all I got was, "I'll handle it, and she is my wife." I decide to just leave, so I left and went to dinner and my movie. I came home to a very dark but not so empty house. I went upstairs, changed into my PJ's, washed my face, and then I put on some music and lay down to sleep. Then...... Then...I can't remember anything else. Anyway I have to stop. I will try more tomorrow.
