They Sing Forever.
Daffodils, blowing
sunshine, shifting
and sifting
through the trees
easy to please
squeals, laughter
give way to new love
blue sky drowning
two hearts pounding
her eyes look above
her being
finally seeing!
an exploration
of what we merely dream of
sing a soft melody
he hums a tune
and she is his harmony
they sing forever
and ever
her eyes open
sunshine, faded
her dress, outdated
on her knees
the leaves
tangling her hair
plants a seed
with a plead
time passes
eyes tracing
feet pacing
she wants it to grow
she needs it to live!
to prove to her heart
that she has hope
a delusional whisper
tossed around in the breeze
you were mine,
you were mine.
he puts her at ease
sing a soft melody
he hums her a tune
and she is his harmony
they sing forever
and ever.
